The Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI) hosted its flagship summit, Envision 2025, at Alila Diwa, Goa, from August 1 to 3, 2025. Set in the calm coastal surroundings, the event brought together over 116 companies and 146 industry professionals from across the country to deliberate on the future of packaging machinery. Far from being just another networking event, Envision 2025 emerged as a collective call for change – a movement, a declaration, and a roadmap for industry transformation.
Founded in 2000, IPMMI stands as the apex body representing packaging machinery manufacturers across India. With a mission to foster innovation, collaboration, and strategic growth, IPMMI has become a vital force in one of India’s most dynamic and fast-evolving sectors. From educating members on emerging technologies to advocating for policy reform, IPMMI continues to be the voice and vision of the industry.
Envision 2025 was conceived as a strategic summit to bring together thought leaders, technologists, entrepreneurs, and industry veterans to chart the next chapter of India’s packaging journey. The three-day event focused on five core pillars: smart automation, sustainability, entrepreneurship, collaboration, and global competitiveness. With sessions ranging from leadership insights to cutting-edge tech demos, the summit offered a panoramic view of where the industry is headed – and how to get there.

The summit commenced with an impactful keynote address by Mahadevan Iyer, President, IPMMI and CEO of IMA PG India, who outlined IPMMI’s journey and its ambitious roadmap for 2025. His message was clear: “We’re not just building machines – we’re building the future.”
Mehul Shah, MD of Encube Ethicals, shared his experience transitioning from a family-run business to a professionally managed enterprise, while Nikhil Naik, Chief Growth Officer at AD Naik Wealth, engaged the audience with “The 3 Secret Principles I Learnt from Warren Buffett,” offering timeless wisdom on business and investment strategy.
Puru Gupta, Co-founder of True Elements, discussed the challenges and opportunities of scaling B2C brands in an omnichannel world, setting the tone for a day focused on leadership and strategic vision.
Day 1 ended with a live performance by Goan Serenaders Artist, followed by networking dinner.
The second day unfolded as an in-depth exploration of innovation. Vivek Chinoy, VP of IPMMI and Director at Electronic Devices Worldwide, opened with a session on the future of packaging machinery, followed by a presentation on the Ashok Vann Plantation Project, a sustainability initiative giving back to Mother Earth.
Amit Gajjar from Wuerth Industry India explored emerging tech solutions, while Aseem Kaushik, MD of L’Oréal India, shared insights on consumer trends and growth strategies.
Festo India was honored as a platinum member, with Ranjan Singh Chadda presenting on smart and sustainable automation. Omron Automation India, represented by Harshal Shendurnikar, showcased integrated automation systems under the theme “Smart, Safe, and Scalable.”
Nitin Jain, Co-founder of OfBusiness, offered a macroeconomic perspective on business opportunities, and Upendra Vanarase, MD of Trio Motion Technology India, emphasized the importance of empowering India’s packaging machinery sector.
Mayur Mashalkar from MGM Varvel India presented product innovations, while Pathik Kothari, formerly EVP at L&T, led a collaborative growth activity involving eight groups tackling strategic questions.
Sandip Singh, CEO of Ishitva Robotic Systems, showcased how their AI-powered waste-sorting tool “Sukha” is revolutionizing recycling by enabling cleaner, high-speed material recovery and urging businesses to adopt scalable, autonomous solutions for a truly circular economy.
A panel moderated by Sanjay Ghoshal of Diageo India featured Puru Gupta, Mahendra Mehta, and Anthony D’Souza, discussing growth enablers and industry challenges.
The sessions on Day 2 culminated in a spirited musical performance by Kanish, setting a jubilant tone for the evening.
The final day focused on scaling businesses and strategic planning. Anthony D’Souza, Board Director of IPMMI and MD of Mespack India, led the closing session, followed by a warm vote of thanks from Mahendra R. Mehta, MD of Parle Global Technologies and Board of Governor, IPMMI.
