BHARAT HEALTH GLOBAL EXPO 2025

Powering India’s Global Healthcare Vision

Bharat Health Global Expo 2025, scheduled to be held from 4–6 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, is set to be a landmark event in India’s healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. Organised by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India) with the support of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, the expo aims to showcase India’s prowess in pharmaceuticals, medical technology, traditional systems of medicine, and healthcare services to a global audience. As part of the run-up to the main event, roadshows are being conducted in major cities across the country to raise awareness, build partnerships, and engage stakeholders.

Roadshows Building Momentum Across India

To build nationwide engagement, roadshows are being conducted across major metro cities such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. Regional outreach efforts are also being undertaken in cities like Baddi, Delhi, Rajkot, Aurangabad, Cochin, Thiruvananthapuram, Haridwar, and Ambala. These events aim to connect stakeholders, disseminate information, and encourage participation from across India’s vast healthcare ecosystem.

The expo reflects the Government of India’s ambitious vision to establish the country as a global hub for healthcare manufacturing, innovation, and services. The event will present a broad spectrum of sectors including pharmaceutical products, pharma machinery, laboratory equipment, medical devices, AYUSH, health services, and medical value tourism.

More than 1,500 Indian exporters and over 1,000 international buyers are expected to participate, along with trade delegations from more than 50 countries. High-level engagements such as a CEO roundtable, country and state pavilions, and thematic exhibits focusing on innovation, R&D, and artificial intelligence are among the highlights. Dedicated conference sessions will further provide a platform for thought leadership and policy discussion.

The expo is aimed at exporters, manufacturers, research agencies, lab equipment manufacturers, clean room equipment manufacturers, automation companies, quality control equipment manufacturers, scientific instruments manufacturers, water mineral testing manufacturers, etc.

Key Stakeholders

The expo is being supported by an extensive network of ministries, departments, and export promotion councils. Key stakeholders include the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Higher Education, Department of Pharmaceuticals, NITI Aayog – Atal Innovation Mission, BIRAC Department of Biotechnology, Department of Science and Technology, DRDO, CSIR & ICMR, Central Drugs and Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), and Invest India.

Several export promotion councils are playing specific roles: PHARMEXCIL is the lead council responsible for coordinating the 11th edition of iPHEX 2025, showcasing pharmaceutical innovations and facilitating business connections for Indian pharmaceutical companies. EEPC India manages international exhibitions of pharma machinery and technology, laboratory and scientific Instruments, and diagnostics solutions. SEPC oversees the hospitals and healthcare services segment, highlighting India’s growing medical tourism industry and world-class healthcare infrastructure. EPCMD is responsible for the second edition of INDIA MEDTECH, featuring cutting-edge medical devices, technological innovations, and healthcare equipment from Indian manufacturers. AYUSHEXCIL spearheads the promotion of and global outreach for traditional Indian medicine systems including Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy at the expo.

SHEFEXCIL is responsible for promoting nutraceuticals and related health supplements, demonstrating India’s strengths in natural health products and dietary innovations.

Focus Areas of Bharat Health Global Expo 2025

The expo will cover a wide array of focus areas. The pharmaceutical segment will feature formulations, bulk drugs, biopharmaceuticals, and vaccines from leading manufacturers. The medical devices section will display innovations in equipment and medicated surgical products for modern healthcare.

Pharma machinery, laboratory instruments, and healthcare delivery services, including clinics, diagnostics, and telemedicine, will be prominently represented. There will also be dedicated spaces for AYUSH and nutraceuticals, highlighting holistic health approaches. Medical value tourism will be showcased through participation from leading hospitals and treatment centres.

Several key components will define the expo experience. Reverse Buyer-Seller Meetings (RBSMs) will facilitate targeted business interactions between Indian exporters and global buyers. A CEO roundtable will bring together industry leaders for strategic discussions. The inauguration will be marked by the presence of distinguished guests and dignitaries. Conference sessions will offer opportunities for knowledge exchange, while the International Regulatory Meet will promote dialogue between Indian authorities and global regulatory bodies. The main exhibition will be a vibrant showcase of products, services, and innovations from across the healthcare spectrum.

Two Shows to Watch: Pharma MachTech & Labnext Expo 2025

Among the most anticipated segments of the event are the first editions of Pharma MachTech and Labnext Expo. Pharma MachTech will cover a wide range of equipment including processing machinery, pharma packaging solutions, clean room systems, and quality control technologies. Labnext Expo will focus on analytical instruments, laboratory and scientific equipment, biotech and life sciences tools, automation solutions, and research instrumentation.

The two flagship shows – Pharma MachTech Expo and Labnext Expo – are set to be major highlights of Bharat Health Global Expo 2025.

Pharma MachTech Expo will present a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical machinery and equipment, including process plant machinery, packaging materials and equipment, clean room technologies, and quality control systems. Labnext Expo, meanwhile, will focus on analytical instruments, laboratory and scientific equipment, process instruments, biotechnology and life sciences tools, as well as laboratory automation and research technologies. Together, these shows will spotlight India’s growing strength in pharma manufacturing and scientific innovation.

India’s Strength in Pharma Machinery and Medical Devices

India’s pharmaceutical machinery sector is emerging as a global powerhouse, with the market projected to reach USD 50 billion by 2030. Diagnostic equipment alone is expected to grow from USD 4 billion in 2023 to USD 6 billion by 2027. During 2024–25, pharma machinery exports from India stood at USD 2.2 billion, reflecting a robust 14 percent growth compared to the previous year.

Key export destinations include the United States, the Gulf region (particularly the UAE and Saudi Arabia), China, Germany, Nigeria, Mexico, and Bangladesh. Russia is also an emerging market of interest. In 2024, India ranked as the world’s 16th largest exporter of pharmaceutical machinery, holding a 1.4 percent share in the global market.
