Caliber Technologies, a leading provider of integrated solutions for global lifesciences and other regulated industries, recently hosted its annual user forum 2024, “Caliber Commune,” bringing together prominent industry experts, thought leaders, and users from the pharmaceutical sector.
Spanning over two vibrant cities – Ahmedabad, the West India Edition, and Hyderabad, The South India Edition were held on 9th February and 16th February, respectively. The events drew over 500 participants and featured more than 30 distinguished speakers. Caliber Commune 2024 served as a platform for transformative discussions, uniting the users aimed to strengthen their journey towards Digital Transformation.
Mr. Sekhar Surabhi, C.E.O. and Founder of Caliber Technologies was at the forefront of this significant gathering. Mr. Surabhi’s keynote address highlighted Caliber’s remarkable growth journey and emphasized the company’s pivotal role in driving efficient and compliant drug manufacturing with integrated quality solutions in today’s dynamic environment. His unveiling of Caliber’s ambitious “5-year strategic plan” inspired the pharma leaders towards industry self-reliance and collective progress.
During the summit, Caliber’s Product Excellence Leaders in Laboratory – Mr. Rajasekhar Gollapinni, Quality Management – Mr. Phanikar Bhaskara; Data and Insights – Dr. Kavita Vengurlekar, and Manufacturing – Mr. Pavan Pasupulati unveiled their profound insights into the future. They shared with delegates the roadmap of how Caliber’s pioneering solutions are reshaping the pharmaceutical landscape, aiming to support them in achieving their North Star.
During the Summit, Caliber unveiled its four new groundbreaking products – ‘QUARI” by Caliber and ‘Caliber CPV’ in Ahmedabad, alongside the launch of a new version of CaliberLIMS i.e. ‘CaliberLIMS 4.0.0’ and ‘Quality Command Centre’ in Hyderabad. These innovations underscore Caliber’s commitment to pioneering excellence and industry-wide transformation.
The engaging panel discussion on “Digital Transformation in Life Sciences and the Transformative Potential of Al, ML, and GenAl Technologies” was a key highlight at both events, reflecting its significance in driving the industry forward. Insights shared by respected leaders: Dr. Viranchi Shah, President IDMA; Mr. Jitendra Jain, VP Quality, Amneal; Mr. Sandeep Raktate, Executive Director, CIPLA; and Mr. Atul Vijayvargiya, Head QA, Otsuka Pharma, at the Ahmedabad Commune, captured attendees attention, providing valuable glimpses into the industry’s future.
Similarly, at the Hyderabad Commune, esteemed leaders include Mr. Sunil Gundewar, COO Somerset; Mr. Suveer Shrivastava, Senior VP and Head Corporate QA & RA, Aragen Lifesciences. Mr. Sriram Murthy, CEO Matrix Pharma, and Dr. Mahesh HRK, Director Corporate Quality, Hetero Labs Ltd., shared their perspectives. The sessions, adeptly moderated by Dr. Kavita, shed light on pathways to sustainable growth and innovation.
The informative session conducted by Ms. Preeti Devi, Associate Partner, KPMG, and Mr. Sameen Ahmed, Associate Director at KPMG, regarding the second edition of GAMP, proved enlightening. They delivered crucial subjects such as the importance of the GAMP, Second Edition. They highlighted the reason behind its requirement and the modifications and revisions introduced in this edition. Furthermore, they provided valuable perspectives on the new appendices incorporated in the GAMP, Second Edition. As a result, participants acquired valuable insights that enriched their comprehension of the updated guidelines.
Ms. Lalitha Surabhi, AVP Strategy at Caliber, delivered a powerful message emphasizing Caliber’s value in regularly listening to customer feedback. She highlighted the importance of understanding the customer needs and reshaping the offerings to align with industry requirements. Ms. Surabhi also encouraged participation in one-on-one workshops led by Caliber’s Product Excellence Leaders to foster collaboration and refine our offerings based on customer insights.
A remarkable highlight was the “Design Thinking Workshop” spearheaded by Mr. Seshasai Kandrakota, President Global Business and Customer Success, Caliber. This immersive session engaged participants in collaborative exercises, igniting discussions on digital transformation within the industry. It marks a one-of-its-kind industry event where a collaborative point of view will emerge from these discussions.
Attendees also heard inspiring success stories from leading pharmaceutical companies Ajanta Pharma, CIPLA, Strides Pharma, and Aragen Lifesciences, where Caliber customers highlighted the transformative impact of Caliber’s solutions on their operational efficiency leading the organisation towards Quality Empowered Digital Growth.
